Zcash Foundation has reported progress with the Q1 2020 report. The ZF board previously has decided on 15 near-term goals to push forward ZF’s mission, which is to ensure a privacy infrastructure for the public good. They are continuing to focus on privacy enhancement.
Zooko, in his reply to Vitalik Buterin, Clarified: “Yeah, so you seem to be using “privacy” to mean “less information sharing.” That’s not what I’m about. I’m about “less exploitative information sharing, more consensual information sharing.”
The foundation has decided to continue with its work on Zebra to deliver a newly redesigned Zebra. The comprehensive project dashboard would provide information about the progress.
Focus is placed on deploying a foundation run infrastructure and development support for the light wallets, thus making it possible for users to protect their ZEC.
Cross-chain integrations for Zcash with due research and deployment is in progress. In partnership with Zondax, Zcash is working towards a popular hardware wallet. They have funded a grant meant to support the shielded Zcash on Ledger.
The foundation is working towards delivering a simplified threshold scheme for the multi-signature spending of the shielded funds. A draft technical report for FROST (Flexible Round Optimized Schnorr Threshold Signature Scheme) is already published.
Sydney Ifergan, the Crypto Expert, tweeted: “The largest slice of Zcash development funding needs a committee to handle the funds. The steps for Major Grant Review Committee is going on. Funding is important for anything to happen – more important allocation.”
Zooko tweeted: “Announcing the Zcash Gardening Club!”
