All the bitcoin guys in one place is like absolute power photos will all the future bright mind. Bitcoin is building families without DNA or genes involved.
Those who do not understand the power of these meetings were like: So what is the point of the bitcoin conference? Isn’t it just a meet up of people who already agree on Bitcoin? Did you convince anybody to buy Bitcoin who did not have it before? I guess tonight we see another big drop in Bitcoin as people realize nothing happened in Miami.
Bitcoin is investing in the philosophy that one’s labour/time/energy should be measured in an asset no authoritative power above us can produce more of. ETH is gambling that their mainnet will be the hub of smart contracts. Both great, but bitcoin has no limits.
David Schwartz at The Standford BlockChain Conference 2020 expressed: “Bitcoin and POW recreates Forced Stakeholders. It is not solving for the original problem.”
The truth is there are almost 2000 so called ‘alt coins’. Most will not last the test of time. ICO’s have slowed. I think as the field narrows, we will know what is best.
From an investor standpoint, it’s perfectly understandable to be a BTC maxi. Building a BTC only exchange/ payment processor is just stupid. Will continue to lose market share to companies that embrace Altcoins!
There are other concerns like: How do we provide financial services in the Bitcoin space? We have a currency and a bank that can only deposit and withdraw but no other financial services. How do we provide the world with a better financial system than the U.S currently has using bitcoin?
Believers like: Bitcoin gives the other coins value. A Payless shoe that has skates, lights up at night, and has a swizz army knife stored in a hidden zipper kangaroo pouch, will still never be worth a single Gucci house slipper. Bitcoin gives alt coins value.
Many are like: I’m pretty sure Jack is just building the platform, then eventually he will ditch Bitcoin and create his own Twitter Coin. That will be a very smart and positive move. Bitcoin and all existing crypto coins have no future.
