“DFINITY’s Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) is integrating with bitcoin to enable smart contracts on BTC. Following a community vote to upgrade the network, it will allow developers to let their creativity run wild in developing all manner of Web 3.0 services.”
Community response: Bitcoin is getting smart contracts, and being able to be used in DeFi.
Meanwhile another interesting news is that, The Internet Computer blockchain only recently launched, but developer and entrepreneurial activity is exploding, and so are the active users of their emerging dapps and services. The DFinity Foundation open-sourced the Internet Computer Protocol.
The NNS Dapp is a dapp that provides a user-friendly way to interact with the NNS of the Internet Computer. With it, you can: Send/receive ICP, Stake neurons, Create canisters, Top up canisters with cycles and view and vote on NNS proposals.
DFinity foundation expressed: “The NNS front-end Dapp is now open source. The NNS front-end dapp lets users send and receive ICP tokens, create canister smart contracts, and participate in NNS governance.
Over the years, there have been countless stories of people losing their BTC, ETH, etc due to exchanges being hacked or simply by losing their private keys.
The NNS front-end dapp provides a secure, decentralized haven for ICP tokens where access is controlled through the Internet Identity blockchain authentication system.
The NNS front-end dapp gives users a simple, safe, and secure interface to engage the network. This includes sending and receiving ICP utility tokens, taking part in network governance, or creating canister smart contracts and cycles to run services.”
The NNS front-end dapp gives a secure and decentralized haven for ICP tokens where the access is controlled via Internet Identity, which is a new blockchain authentication system which is based on advanced cryptography, which permits users to authenticate into Dapps using YubiKeys or the biometric sensors of their devices. This makes it possible for users to add multiple authentication devices for redundancy while keeping control of their private keys at all times.
The NNS front-end dapp simplifies the process of creating canisters with just a few clicks. Once created, the canisters can be monitored, configured, and topped up.
Community Response: Though the code of NNS front-end dapp is open source, actual updates to the code are implemented via NNS proposals, such as this recent NNS proposal.
Why don’t you have a big pump so that you will be attractive. Why does the price of the ICP token not change?
