Founder of SkyBridge Capital believe that BTC will reach $500,000 in the Long Run

Anthony Scaramucci, founder of investment management firm Skybridge Capital, talked about the future outlook for Bitcoin in an interview with Melissa Francis of Magnifi by TIFIN on Friday.

Scaramucci expected the price of BTC to reach $100,000 by the end of last year. However, after the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the Bitcoin Exchange Traded Fund (ETF), he admitted that he “did not properly assess the regulatory environment.”

BTC has revised from a record high of $68,892 to a level of $40,000 based on data from Bitcoin.com Markets.

Still, the founders of SkyBridge Capital believe that Bitcoin’s price could reach $100,000 this year. He means:

Could it get there this year? Yes. Is it likely to get there over two years? I’m very confident of that. But we’ve got some work to do here from a regulatory perspective.

“We got to get the markets to calm down a little bit. We’ve got to get through Covid. But it’s not going anywhere,” he stressed.

How the average investor starts using Bitcoin?

The founder of SkyBridge Capital was also asked what to do if he was an average investor who did not invest in crypto. “I will buy some,” he replied immediately.

Scaramucci, paying attention to volatility, said:  The only way you can deal with such techniques is to pay the average and buy a little each month.

Regarding what percentage of a paycheck an average investor should put into bitcoin, Scaramucci advised: “I would pick a number that you are comfortable with and buy a little every month.” He recommends putting between 1% and 4%.

He continued: “I think you have to participate in it. I think it’s a mistake to be under-invested or not invested in blockchain and cryptocurrencies at all.”

Scaramucci also commented on how high the price of Bitcoin could be in the long run, reiterating previous predictions that BTC could reach $ 500,000 per coin.

“This is an early adoption of technology and will be very volatile,” SkyBridge Capital executives warned. There is a period when Bitcoin plummets by more than 50%. Nevertheless, he emphasized:
