Education is the key to helping the masses understand Bitcoin, which eventually is important for mass adoption.

Jack Dorsey: Mr. SC and I are funding the Bitcoin Academy, a program for residents of Marcy Houses in Brooklyn New York where Jay grew up, designed in collaboration with Crypto Blockchain Plug and Black Bitcoin Billionaires.

Bitcoin is becoming a critical tool for many in Africa and Central and South America. We believe the same potential exists within communities in the US. Our goal is to prove that making powerful tools more available to people enables them to build greater independence.

Education is where we start. This isn’t just about Bitcoin.  It’s about long-term thinking, local economies, and self-confidence. Courses are free to all Marcy residents, including kids. And to make it even easier we’re providing devices and data plans for all who need it.

Thanks to the teams at Blocks and Shawn Carter Foundation for all the work to make this happen.  This is just the start of the program. Much more to come soon.

The website reads:  “The Shawn Carter Foundation and Cash App invite you to attend FREE Bitcoin education classes presented by Crypto Blockchain Plug and Black Bitcoin Billionaire.  Classes available in person and online.”

Influencer Response:

Michael Saylor:  Give someone a Bitcoin and you feed them for a day. Teach someone how to bitcoin, and you feed them for a lifetime.

Pomp:  This is incredible work, Jack. Thank you for continuing to push Bitcoin, and the corresponding ideas, forward to those who can benefit most.

Dan Held:  Wow. Amazing work Jack! This will be huge

Community Reaction:  What is the difference between the Bitcoin Academy and the Michael Saylor bitcoin Course?

Jack Dorsey Bitcoin Academy delivers the same information like that of the Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin Course.  However, “same info but delivered by in a way which directly addresses the concerns & life complexities of a particular community. A single parent of 5 living in public housing has different concerns than a college educated man with no kids even if financial security is the goal for both.”

It is good to see new tools and educational coming up to help understand Bitcoin. It would be nice to see such attempts being focused on communities speaking different languages. Such courses are the key to helping everyone to learn and master everything about Bitcoin.

Conclusion:  Irrespective of who is trying to push Bitcoin, there are many who feel that pushing incalculable risk on to people that can’t afford it is unethical.
