Kraken Exchange Gifting 1,000 dollars in Bitcoin (BTC) to every user in Ukraine

Bitcoin magazine shared: NEW Kraken exchange is gifting 1,000 dollars in Bitcoin to every user in Ukraine.

Community Response:

Crypto has been doing amazing things to help ordinary people suffering during this war, #Bitcoin has been on display for the whole world to see its use, utility, worth, and value.

Doesn’t this just add to selling pressure?

They are going to gift a million BTC? Who’s BTC are they?

Maybe using the coins they exchange.

Peter Schiff you’re time to shine and send some gold coins to those affected by the war.

Good Idea but I think the avg. Russian citizens should deserve the same kindness. #Bitcoin usually doesn’t divide, it always unites.

What a great way to incentivize countries to go to war…. Bad idea.

May I ask, where you come from?

What about Afghanistan? What about Iraq? What about all the wars that started in America? Do they get money too? Stop following the mainstream media.

I like this. Bitcoin Good.

Wait until they all sell it.

If 4 necessary goods and services, that is the intended purpose. If they HODL 4 store of value that is the intended purpose. Can’t even imagine the effects of displacement for all families involved and we’re bitchin’ about gas prices. War is Absurd.

Agree, I hope price pumps right after they all get it so that it is worth more. The bank we use has given all their staff 7 days paid to go help in UA and has scrapped any tx fees to UA accounts. Never would ha e thought in 1000 years a bank would do that.

Yes, Pamp it. It’s simply the right thing to do. Bitcoin

Why do they think that these actions will help the parties of the conflict to negotiate peace?

I don’t want to be at war.

Is it relying on IP address location + proper id check?

I don’t understand what’s happening anymore, lol. They don’t cut off Russia but then send relief to the UK?

So they have confirmed that they overcharged users and have money to give away.

What should they charge?

I am happy that my Bitfinex has not become a tool in this political game, like other exchangers. This is not your field of activity, you should remain neutral.

WTF. 1000 dollars in Bitcoin is too much. U want to give 40 billion $ in Bitcoin for free?

Great BTC is amazing for such gifting across borders. Will they be doing the same for innocent Russians?

Well, I guess we’ll just take your word for it.

That is brilliant, yes yes, some may be “not good people” but most of them are going to be people just like you and me that need help.

Woah that’s awesome! I think refugees will also get 2k dollars from the US government as well. Maybe they’ll stack more sats with that.

Why are these actions thought to help the parties in peace talks?

Why do they think that these actions will help the parties of the conflict to negotiate peace?

All the money I gave to Kraken through liquidations and fees is going towards this.

There‘re two types of people one who live in their past what they can’t change and the second type who only cares about their future and takes action every day to live in their dream life they imagined for themselves to be successful and universal law pulls it into their life.
