Dan Held Expressed: Each red dot represents a time when journalists declared Bitcoin dead. When will they realize that Bitcoin is unstoppable?
Community response: They will never learn; not only the journalists but the institutions as well.
I’m new and learning hey. But I fear and doubt why wouldn’t we have impact if a new algorithm with similar deregulation appears. Wouldn’t that reduce demand and price for BTC considering it has no intrinsic value?
They don’t have to learn. They write pieces like that for clickbait title and over exaggerated fiction on how Bitcoin is aiding terrorism and how Bitcoin will consume all of world. The truth is real journalism is dead, not bitcoin.
Wouldn’t it be easier to mark the stop they didn’t say it was dead? They must make good money, working for those wall street whales. The FUDers.
Would be easier to chart the *positive* mainstream media articles? There are those that say that “Bitcoin is the main form of money.”
If a chart is made for positive news about Bitcoin, it would probably be just a plain BTC chart without any distracting dots.
Bitcoin has been declared dead so many times. We are losing count of the times it has died. I’d say the longer Bitcoin survives, the longer in future it survives.
Proves how wrong most journalists are. They just want eyes on whatever they write. Sad.
Do you know how long it took for people to stop calling the internet dead?
Bitcoin is the antidote to the poisonous system they represent so probably not until a Satoshi is a dollar.
They declared Bitcoin dead every time when they realize it is unstoppable.
Please explain, if you don’t mind, can the new cryptocurrencies be substitute to Bitcoin? in theory, there is no limit to build new cryptocurrencies.
Of course anybody can clone/fork the Bitcoin block chain. But people are incentivized to invest, use, grow BTC. If another clone spun up tomorrow, few bitcoin holders would show any interest. First mover and network effects put the original in a roll-caged driver seat.
One day will all humans be forced to say that Bitcoin is digital gold, and digital money, king of gold and technology, and right of humans.
That is almost as many times as journalists in the UK reporting there is going to be a heat wave of all heat waves in the summer that never comes.
Never, because of “clicks”. News outlets use contractors for content; even when the journalist is a mainstream employee/contributor, content is paid based upon “clicks” online, or is successful in an editor’s mind from said clicks. Bitcoin is clicks.
