Avalanche (AVAX) Protocol Resilient to 51% Attacks Deploying Assets Easier than Ever

Avalanche AVAX

Avalanche are building the future of the internet of finance. It is an open-source platform meant for launching highly decentralized applications, new financial primitives, and new interoperable blockchains.

Avalanche (AVAX) developers will be able to create powerful, reliable, and secure applications and custom blockchain networks by making use of complex rule sets.  They will also be able to build on existing private or public subnets.

Avalanche provides for higher performance, security and efficiency over previous decentralized protocols.

There have been two consensus engines on launch.  The Avalanche engine is DAG optimized.  It is simple to prune and parallelizable.  Snowman is the consensus engine, which is great for smart contracts.

It is important to note that everything on Avalanche is a subnet and every chain is a part of the subnet.  The primary network should have validators and they need to be a member of the primary network.  It is optional if validators should be part of the subnet.  There are three blockchains in the primary network, which are Platform Chain (P), Exchange Chain (X) and Contracts Chain (C).

The role of the P-chain is to coordinate the validators.  The X-chain makes it possible to create new assets.  The C-chain makes it possible to create any kind of Ethereum-compatible smart contracts. The X-chain uses the Avalanche consensus protocol and the P-chain and C-chain makes use of the snowman consensus protocol.

Avalanche bridges permissionless (public) and permissioned (private) blockchains in one, thus making it an interoperable network.  They also help to deploy new or existing blockchains directly on Avalanche to leverage superior performance and security properties.

The main goal is to help deploy a blockchain that has specific rules and privacy requirements. Those who are willing to get to know the Avalanche implementation might want to check in to Athereum, which they claim is the spoon of the Ethereum network.

Developers who are looking to deploy a particular blockchain can either launch a completely new subnet or just make use of an existing one. They can use an existing virtual machine like EVM, WASM, BTC, Script or the developers can build their own. Developers will be able to import additional functionalities like Zero Knowledge Proofs.  They can also select a set of validators or make it an open membership and everyone will be able to bid to become a validator.

Developers can choose to make use of the full smart contract functionality or they can leverage a fast implementation for simple commutative operations like asset transfers.  Digitizing and deploying assets using Avalanche’s “smart assets” primitive is easier than ever.
