Community response: Yes! But why is this? How can the bridge consistently keep gas fees on the ETH side around 10$ but metamask interactions with uniswap, etc. are avging $40-60?? I would really like to know.
Logic may seem fine but numbers are twisted a little. Bridging to Avalanche is around 3-5$ while Bridging to Ethereum back is around 30-40$. Not sure if it’s worth to go n back for 5-10 bucks.
For those who are new, The Avalanche Bridge (AB) can be used to transfer ERC20 tokens from Ethereum to Avalanche’s C-Chain and vice versa.
The Bridge can be split into two main parts: the SGX application and a set of third-party indexers and verifiers called “Wardens.”
The Wardens do the job of indexing the Avalanche and Ethereum blockchains and submitting eligible transactions to the enclave for processing.
The SGX application requires 3 of 4 Wardens to submit the same transaction before generating the signed transaction to process the Bridge transfer on the other network.
