DeFi infrastructure, such as bridges, cross-chain standards for AMM’s, NFT, DEX’s, etc. are to be bridged in to Cosmos by the Internet of Blockchains.

They are looking to get it done through HackAtom and the innovation that is expected to come in through it.

HackAtom RU is on with $45,000 prize pool in ATOMs and other tokens.  This hackathon is meant for both Russian and English speakers. Reportedly, in the hackathon everything will be available in both languages so all hackers can participate.

The overview of the HackAtom RU event reads thus:

“Huston, we have no problems, and are ready for takeoff!  Cosmonauts and hackers, buckle up and get ready for the Internet of Blockchains.

HackAtom RU 2021 is a Cosmos, IBC-focused hackathon with over prizes $45k USD in ATOMs (and sponsor tokes) for the most creative hackers out there. Our space mission will focus on ‘IBC’ing (aka bridging) DeFi into Cosmos!’

IBC is finally here, and we want to see it expanding into every aspect of the blockchain galaxy, starting with the biggest trend in space – DeFi. This means, DeFi infrastructure, such as bridges, cross-chain standards for AMM’s, NFT, DEX’es, etc.

We want to see innovation, and we know you guys have it!  Whether you are new to Cosmos or not, check out the resources tab for documentation and the planned workshops.”

Users were further requested to visit their landing page, thus making for more information and the calendar applicable for the full schedule of the event.  Also, users were encouraged to join the hackers Telegram group to find teammates and to explore around. And, of course, register for the event and discover the prepared workshops, here, on Devpost.

Jae Kwon stated, “The only thing that can truly break crypto is a massive loss of keys. The powers that be surely are trying to thwart the rise of decentralized crypto. Do not trust online wallets, nor mobile phone apps. Rotate keys now if you aren’t sure.”

Further stated, haven’t heard of a massive crypto/exchange hack a while. That makes me worry, given the adoption and rise of Bitcoin/crypto recently. PSA, generate your key yourself, ideally with dice-ware entropy, and never enter the private on an online computer, including ledgers etc.

While all these are happening it is very visible that Cosmos is evolving to be the most interoperable ecosystem of connected blockchains.  All the excitement now is around the HackAtom RU.
