Apart from Bitcoin there are several other altcoins, which have legitimate niche use cases suitable for specific industries. And, not all of them are joke coins like Doge Coin and Shiba INU. Several altcoins have been started with thoughtfulness and some real use cases.
Theta and Theta Fuel are two related cryptocurrencies that have been performing well. CNN business reports, “Theta has soared almost 400% in 2021 while Theta Fuel is up an astounding 1,700%.”
Theta and Theta Fuel run on the blockchain known as the Theta Network. The network permits PC users who have an un-utilized bandwidth to share video streams with others on the network. To do this they get a reward. They’re able to mine tokens. Reportedly, Theta has impressive backers from the digital media world, including YouTube co-founder Steve Chen and Twitch co-founder Justin Kan, who are Theta advisors.
It is interesting because not all the altcoins are trying to imitate Bitcoin each of them are coming up with their own theme and idea contributing to new and innovative use cases.
Theta Mainnet 3.0 is just a few days away. Scale testing is continuing with no issues at 30k+ Elite Edge Nodes and 150k+ TFUEL stakers are aided by scaling improvements in the recent 2.4.0 update. The next evolution of decentralized data delivery is coming.
When someone was wondering: I think there is something off with the math 30K + Elite edge nodes and 150K+ Tfuel staking? Last time I checked those who staked Tfuel were the Elite Edge Nodes. Am I missing something?
Clarification: You don’t need to run an edge node to stake.
Grievance: Are the edge nodes that are still “connecting to network” without any peers going to be helped along with an update, or is it something on our end? I can’t seem to nail down what’s causing it. It happened to me yesterday. I had to restart edge node, which is annoying. Hopefully. They sort it out.
Question: How much does an edge node differ in rewards if any by computing power vs. internet speed. Or do both enhance the earnings?
I noticed my Elite Edge Node has not sent any of my Tfuel rewards to my wallet for the month of May. From my understanding, this is supposed to occur in the 1st week of every month so I should’ve received a payout on June 7th latest. Can you help please?
