WazirX is a Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Exchange in India. They say if you have not bought cryptocurrency yet, you will be able to buy one in just 5 minutes.  The good thing is users will be able to make instant INR deposits and withdrawals.  WazirX is available in Web, Android and iOS.  Those who refer will be able to earn 50% commission.

Normally those who are in India, buy cryptocurrency in India from WazirX using IMPS/NEFT/RTGS. However, WazirX recently expressed:  “Effective from 6 PM IST on 25th April 2021, IMPS/NEFT/RTGS deposits have been temporarily disabled due to a technical issue faced by our banking partner. Please use UPI to deposit INR deposits in the meanwhile.”

This means:  IMPS/NEFT/RTGS deposits are temporarily disabled.

During every IPL match, users will be able to participate in exclusive giveaways, trading contests, quizzes and more.

For clarity, IPL is the Indian Premier League.  The teams who are participating in the 2021 season are CSK, DC, RCB, MI, PBKS, RR, SRH, and KKR.  The matches happen during Indian Standard Time.

India is just getting used to cryptocurrency and therefore it is very common to see airdrops happening in the exchange for eligible users.  This is done as a mode of encouraging users to trade in crypto.

They organized club house events in which they discuss crypto use cases, application and more.

We cannot be sure that cryptocurrency transactions are smooth as there are lot of community members expressing stuff like:

I deposited 10000 but not credited to my WazirX account.  And they share their ticket id.  From the many comments it just looks like transaction delays are common in this Exchange or may be users were not clearly given instructions about when they can expect to see the cryptocurrency credited to their accounts.

Someone pointed to a Q and A which states:  “Is there a Deposit Fee? Yes, in order to facilitate the instant deposits we use payment processors so that the amounts are credited near instantly.  IMPS, NEFT, RTGS.

In response one of the users stated:  You deducted such a high fee per transfer but saying deposits are made instantly, yet it takes such a long time. Care to explain?

There are also real time users who say, WazirX should try and improve on it support system. It is very frustrating not to being attended to ordinary KYC.  Note: I used international passport as my document, and international passport doesn’t have address written at it back, check everywhere in the world!

Onboarding to the exchange also seems to be a bit hard.  There are also complaints about difficulties in withdrawing funds.
