With more of financial companies and retail investors looking to invest in cryptocurrencies, Litecoin as well is gaining a renewed momentum in 2021.
While there has been continual criticisms about Charlie Lee, the founder having sold his LTC, he gave a clarification when he sold it which went like: “I sold because holding LTC made it a situation where I may do something to pump the value short term, but is bad for the long term success of Litecoin. I didn’t want that conflict. I’ve explained this many times. If all you still don’t understand, I can’t help you. Be gone.”
He had also made it very clear that working on a project has nothing to do with the necessity of holding it. He also previously point to how a lot of crypto leaders do not hold the crypto and on how they simply hold the crypto. He pointed to Satoshi for having even left the project. He pointed to how Jackson Palmer did not even buy the coins.
Having clarified his part once and for all, Charlie is not bothered about any kind of criticisms about him having sold the crypto.
Users who are not bothered about whether he holds it or sold it have to state that their LTC transactions seem to move quicker than BTC, and that being the reason for being around to use it. He also pointed to how he knew people who buy it and on how they do so to own a few as opposed to a part of BTC.
Recently, LTC has been showing an impressive amount of volume and very strong bullish divergences. Litecoin is very much undervalued according to enthusiasts.
The ray of hope among several community members is about the implementation of MWEB in March. The additional value proposition, which has been created is expected to lead to a greater price appreciation thereafter.
Many of them are already accumulating LTC for several months now. The logic is to accumulate when no one is paying attention. Some feel that LTC is in the Snail stage yet, and critics have to state that this snail will not achieve this level.
Someone who tried to explain the HODL ideal stated: Let me tell you something. My dad has more diamond hands than you do. He bought Bitcoin when it was around 3k and huge amount of Litecoin around 20s, and he told me today “don’t tell me the price until BTC reaches 500K and LTC touches 5K.
