Stellar expressed: +1 week after AMM functionality launched on Stellar, we’re seeing lots of activity and strong engagement from the ecosystem. A few points:
There are over 1.2k active liquidity pools and almost 4.5k liquidity providers.
According to Stellarxhq’s analytics dashboard, approximately $13m has been deposited in total liquidity, with a total trade volume of approximately $8m, which would have generated an estimated $24k in fees earned for liquidity providers.
We’re seeing liquidity for assets that didn’t exist (such as KES) for cross-border assets, as well as many newly issued assets — some of which are existing assets on other chains wrapped into Stellar — taking advantage of Stellar’s low fees and speedy transactions.
The spread between the buy and the sell price in USDC/ARST pool dropped to ~1%, which is lower than the blue dollar’s 1.5% spread. You can see more statistics on some of the ecosystem companies’ analytics dashboards.
They do have a dedicated session on AMMs slated for Meridian 2021 on Wed, Nov 17 @ 11:35 am PT. Title: Liquidity: AMMs on Stellar.
The key speakers are Justin Rice, Phil Meng, and Dima Gmyza.
Community Response: Real world utility coupled with scalability and regulatory-compliant infrastructure.
I have faith in this project but we need stronger news bigger contributions to increase the price of XLM it all depends on you.
What happens to XLM price? We should already be at least at $10! Do something about the price?
It’s not up to them. It’s up to the market. Price will reflect what it should be based on sentiment and not reality.
Can you guys ask the developers to make Liquidity Pool analytics and searches available for all pairs. We have a liquidity pool pair that’s larger than most of the pools, but we aren’t coming up in search and can’t even see our pool activity. It feels really centralized.
The Stellar SDK hasn’t been updated since august 8th, protocol 19 was to be finalised on the 3rd Nov. No wonder apps like keybase aren’t working to transfer/receive XLM. Are they even doing anything at Stellar org at all?
Otherwise the excitement about Meridian 2021 is brewing.
Meridian2021 is next week, but on-demand content is up on the site today. The SDF engineering team has put together some incredible tech talks. Get a live demo of Starlight, you can learn about experimental DEX Speedex, play a game on Stellar SDKs, and more.
Users will be able to learn about what they have been building and on how you can leverage advancements for your work. Users can also ask presenters questions.
