Previously, Ross Nicoll, Dogecoin Core Developer expressed, “Personally, I would love to see [PoS] explored.”

For now, Dogecoin, depends on the energy-intensive Proof of Work (PoW) mining. It was also stated that “DOGE is going to be exploring Proof of Stake (PoS), probably with some kind of parallel chain.”

When Zhu Su asked, what are some promising ideas for Ethereum / Doge cooperation? What was it about Doge that got you interested in the project?

On September 01, 2021, Vitalik Buterin stated, “DOGE is going to be exploring Proof of Stake (PoS), probably with some kind of parallel chain,”

Muffin:  If Doge switches to proof of stake, that is/was only Vitalik’s vision for Dogecoin doesn’t necessarily mean it will happen.

They’re working on it we actually ended up finding a bug in the process preventing some 1.14.2 and 1.14.3 from updating.

Community response:  Is there anything worse than Dodge? I don’t think so! We invested a lot in Dodge, unfortunately, and we stayed out of the market.

It is really disappointing and discouraging to stay under 0.30 cents since months.

Definitely ask about the updates, I know they’re working really hard, but it’s taking forever. Millions of people are waiting the updates to be released.

I am not at all worried about Doge. It will rise sooner or later, but it will land on Moon definitely.

We have around 1200 running the latest Dogecoin release. With almost 2,000 total nodes on the network.

A Comprehensive list of the Dogecoin mining pools have responded and their current status has been published. Still waiting on a few to get back with me but wanted to share the list with everyone.

It looks like f2pool (22.1%) and Litecoinpool (30.3%) are a couple of the biggest and they’ve agreed to support. Do you know what % of the hash rate supports at this point? It’s > 51% at least.

Oh facts when you cry wolf so many times and the wolf is never there.  Then, when the wolf finally is there and the cry is made no one is there.  Never cry wolf.

There probably is a lot of complication shifting from PoW to PoS.  Maybe we need to wait and see.
