  • Avalanche is Entering the 3rd Generation of Blockchains
  • Solving blockchain layer from the base architecture
  • Evolving to be decentralized

In the recent Delphi Podcast, Can Gurel stated:  Avalanche is entering the 3rd generation of Blockchains.  And, instead of just using one of the existing consensus protocols and then changing the blockchain architecture, Avalanche is one of the few blockchains there where I think it is a different paradigm in terms of consensus protocol; you know it is a subsampling methodology. Wherever you do this, there are some minor tradeoffs but with many math and deep proofs. You realize that the tradeoffs are so small, and you can create basically in an environment where security is still incredible, especially when it is so decentralized.

As you said, you know, a lot of validators.  In fact, there are over 1000 validators on the Avalanche protocol.  No other blockchain, first layer can honestly say that. And, I think, that is a huge advantage, especially in a world where we want to see some distributed and decentralized governance. So, it starts with not just the blockchain architecture; it started with Avalanche, all the way at the consensus protocol level. Innovation is what Gun is all about, and he started at the most basic level instead of reconfiguring blockchain architecture; and he tried solving some of the problems, but he solved it from the very base layer.

Emin Gun Sirer recently stated:  “Today is another major moment for Avalanche AVAX with Chainlink Price Feeds going live. Chainlink has set the standard for oracles and data across blockchains and dapps, and this will unlock an enormous amount of development across the community.”

Talking about Elon, Emin Gun Sirer stated, Hate to say this, but he really doesn’t, and shouldn’t, matter. Move on and build.

Several community members were like:  Listening to Elon and Jack now, I really don’t understand why everyone sees Elon Musk as an essential element for crypto. Listening to Elon’s difficulty finding words and sticking only to the basics is a little awkward. Jack Dorsey, on the other hand, is brilliant.

He shouldn’t, but he does. Humans love hierarchy and Kings. A decentralized mindset is an evolution. We’re not really there yet.

Elon supporters were like:  He really doesn’t. People let him live in their heads for some reason; he doesn’t and shouldn’t care. He’s doing his thing; you all do yours. He’s not waiting around for anyone else’s opinions to be made public.
