Why Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) Does not Have Reputation at the Moment?

Internet Computer Protocol Reputation

DFINITY Foundation expressed:  Over 500 developer teams are already building on the Internet Computer. To get you started, here is a walkthrough of building a front-end Dapp on the Internet Computer.  This walkthrough should assist blockchain developers and engineers who are used to hosting static assets on Netlify, Fastly or S3 buckets. By the end of this tutorial, your Dapp or website will join more than 1,000 other websites already running on the Internet Computer.

Community response:  Our entire education system is centralized, so I don’t care if people say that ICP is decentralized or not.  Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.

Here come the trolls crying about the price. They tried to make a greedy day trade on the launch day and got REKT.

I bought ICP for 100$ 15 coins. I have taken a loan and invested in it. Now I am in 55% loss. I’m finished.

I waited weeks to buy and hold long-term; my average is 45$. Small-minded “traders” don’t understand investing.  Buy more at 20/30 and make the medium price better.

I don’t understand why people need to buy the ICP tokens to build a Dapp. No other blockchain system is set up like that. It doesn’t make sense to buy ten tokens when each is over $40 for a “trial app.”

Do not distribute tokens every ten months, as this will lead to a major crash and loss of investor confidence.

Does anyone believe these lies? Who would believe someone who lost 95% of their value?

Previously Dominic Williams expressed:  Whiteboard in Zurich office. The Internet Computer runs on magical new cryptography. Looking forward to Ethereum/Bitcoin integration. Canister smart contracts are coming to that handle ETH and BTC without the need for private keys.

The community were like:  The IC project is the most interesting project to hit the internet since, well, since the internet itself. Just keep pushing. The code speaks for itself, and I have a blast tinkering with Rust, Motoko, and DFX tools.

Well aware that you people are working hard to make this project happen as soon as possible, but the main question still revolves around the price stability of ICP.  It-dumps down by great numbers, and therefore people are losing faith in your project. What’s your opinion?

This project does not have the best Reputation at the moment. I don’t know if that just based on the price, or if the tech is bad. From what I’ve understood, it’s an interesting concept.

Keep up the great work Dom and Team. Some of the uninformed comments Haters will hate, but the cream will always rise to the top, and they forget it takes time to build a rocket to the moon.  Transparency was one of the first words that caught my eye in association with this project. That didn’t go well! Next time ICP hits $100, are you and the “team” dumping bags again for personal wealth? Just looking for transparency is all.
