Will Ethereum (ETH) Ever Support a True peer-to-peer Cash System

Mr. Whale Expressed:  Twitter is confirmed to be adding Ethereum to its tip jar, which means you can now pay $750 in fees to send a $3 tip. The Future of Finance.

Community Response:  I’ve unloaded half of my ETH so far. Keeping the rest for diversification, but it’s seeming riskier every day as I see more and more Twitter people ditching it. ETH 2.0 has to happen in 2022 or it’s dead.

ETH gas fees are cryptos biggest scam. Total Ripoff.  They won’t last long.  Dogecoin fees are next to nothing.  The Doge will take over all fees in the future.

How is it a scam when no one is collecting dividends from the gas fees.

Dogecoin will take over Bitcoin and Ethereum! – Are you for real or just kidding.

Yes, gas fees are ridiculous. Doesn’t mean there’s no future for ETH in finance. Used to take longer to connect to the Internet than it did to make a phone call. Would you have been sarcastically screaming “The Future of Communication!” then, too?

This is NOT a very good example. If we had options other than dial up back then, we would have used them. We have those options now in Crypto. ETH is like Netscape. Algorand is like fiber optics. Just give it a try and you’ll never look back.

Why not opt for a second layer solution? I’m really happy with it and pay fees of about 3 cents for a transaction. And, I still have the security and decentralization of ETH.

You’ve still got to get to the second layer via the first layer. The global median daily wage is $6. Are you going to tip someone 10 cents and then giggle when the recipient says they can’t afford the $50 needed to receive it?

I bailed on ETH recently. After doing further DYOR we found we ethically couldn’t maintain our ETH investment. It’s not all about money, but even if it was, there are plenty of others investment vehicles out there. Personal view ok.  Our choice. I understand we all are different.

They will only support cryptos with shitty high fees. Because then they can sell you their custodial services and continue to control your money. They will never support a true peer-to-peer cash system that doesn’t need them to operate for everyone.

Ethereum isn’t a currency.  It’s a black hole for money unless you are buying and holding it in hopes that will go up. Sadly, it does when there are better block chains out there.
