XRP may be on the verge of a major rally, with potential price targets of $10, $18, and even $27, according to technical analyst EGRAG Crypto. His outlook is based on XRP’s historical reactions to the 21-week exponential moving average (EMA), a key support level the asset has just retested.

Despite ongoing market volatility, XRP is showing signs of strength. Currently priced at around $2.19—right where it started in May—the token continues to consolidate, hinting at a potential breakout.

Historical EMA Retests Marked Major Bull Runs

EGRAG’s analysis focuses on XRP’s historical performance on the 2-week chart, particularly in relation to the 21 EMA. This indicator has served as a springboard for major rallies in the past.

During the 2017–2018 bull run, XRP struggled to break the 21 EMA until March 2017. Once the breakout occurred, the token surged 7,085%, rising from $0.00555 to $0.3988 in just two months. After a brief consolidation and retest of the 21 EMA, XRP surged again, this time by 1,517%, to reach its all-time high of $3.80 in January 2018.

A similar pattern played out during the 2020–2021 cycle. XRP broke above the 21 EMA in November 2020, rising to $0.79 before retesting the indicator. The retest triggered another rally of 425%, pushing XRP to $1.96 in April 2021.

These patterns reveal a consistent structure: breakout above the 21 EMA, followed by consolidation and a retest, and then a parabolic move upward.

2025 Structure Mirrors Past Bull Cycles

According to EGRAG, XRP is currently replicating this familiar pattern. In November 2024, the token broke above the 21 EMA, rallying from $0.50 to a local peak of $3.40 by January 2025. After encountering resistance, the price entered a consolidation phase—just as it did in previous cycles.

As of early June, XRP has pulled back to retest the 21 EMA once again, setting the stage for a potential third wave of upward movement. EGRAG views this retest as a bullish signal, similar to the ones that preceded explosive moves in 2017 and 2021.

Price Targets: $10, $18, and $27

Based on the size of previous rallies, EGRAG has outlined three major price targets:

  • $10 – This level would mark a 425% gain from the current price and mirror the percentage move seen in 2021 following the 21 EMA retest.

  • $18 – A 1,000% increase from current levels, resembling a more extended breakout.

  • $27 – A full-blown rally of over 1,600%, representing the new all-time high EGRAG has long predicted.

Each of these levels aligns with historical price behavior and fits into EGRAG’s broader cycle theory.

Timeline to Watch: July–August 2025

If history continues to repeat, XRP could reach its next peak within 8 to 10 weeks following the recent EMA retest. In 2017, it took 8 weeks for XRP to reach its all-time high after the retest; in 2021, it took 10 weeks.

Applying this timeline to the current structure suggests a potential peak between late July and early August 2025.

Broader Sentiment and Momentum

XRP’s recent consolidation at the $2.19 level is not necessarily bearish. In fact, it mirrors the pause-and-retest behavior from previous rallies. This suggests a market gathering strength rather than entering a decline.

Moreover, EGRAG’s long-standing $27 price target has been supported by multiple models. Just last week, his “Drop Zone” analysis also indicated a path to $27. Last December, he argued that XRP holding above its break of structure (BOS) could ignite a rally to the same level.

With investor sentiment improving and historical patterns aligning, XRP appears to be approaching a potentially explosive phase.
