Roger Ver recently stated that it does not make any sense to bring in peer to peer electronic cash to the world. 

One of the BCH users tried to contemplate stating, the whole point of blockchain is to bring in decentralized protections of data and wealth to people.  There are countries that ban crypto of all kinds and users who are willing to adopt crypto are worried because they are not able to fund their wallet again.

Yet another user pointed to how “Sending by bitcoin address enters the transaction into the network and the recipient discovers it from the network.  You don’t connect directly with them and they don’t have to be online at the time.”

One of the users stated that he sold all his BCH for BTC at the top and that he has no plan on switching back.  Whether users adopted BCH or BTC it is interesting to see that many people are beginning to use the crypto.  We cannot refuse that Roger is one of the key people who helped make Bitcoin successful. Educate yourself.

Some users expressed the concern that Bitcoin has been taken over by the Elite and that they will use it to manipulate and control.  Many users are now by all means trying to hang onto BTC, but they are also trying hard to not hate people who fight to be free from that.

There are other opinions which read like good money is always only a secondary function of commodity. And, that there has to be a really good day to day use case that gives the currency intrinsic value. Otherwise, even the safest and best cryptocurrency will just turn into a speculative HODL stuff like BTC is today.

Supporters of Roger feel that he is doing a great job and that BCH is not turning into a speculative frenzy, like BTC and they feel it is a good thing. Also, that it is a feature and not a bug and that Bitcoin was always about P2P value exchange.

Critics feel that a lot of people lost out on life-changing amounts of money when the price of BCH went down.  Also, that it’s all bitcoin in the future and that people will remember Elon Musk and Michael Saylor for Bitcoin and that crypto will be known mostly for bitcoin.

Whoever are trying to vilify Roger will get to realize his insights in the future at some point in time.  He is a hard thinker. When Roger says “I can’t believe some people still think BTC is Bitcoin” he is trying to establish that it is they who are trying to follow the true principles.
