Mike Alfred shared: Never forget the people who bought Bitcoin at 1 dollar and sold it at 10 dollars because they thought there was no way it would ever get to 100 dollars.

Community Response:

to be honest, if they bought at 1 and sold at 10 that was a very good trade since they had no idea what would come next. There was too much risk at their time.

Yea but that’s why you invest only what u can afford to lose and otherwise DCA in with available funds. Plenty of people lasted through the drawdowns and ended up with insane gains, it’s nothing about risk.

Doesn’t matter if one puts 100,000 and gets 1,000,000 it’s a good trade and move out since bitcoin has no utility and only serves to be sold later at a higher price.

Never forget the people who bought Bitcoin at 69k using debt suggested by Michael Saylor and are now stuck paying that debt with a -40% unrealized loss on their investment.

Bingo…Saylor and many others shilling are self-serving and when it goes bad, Saylor will fly away on his private jet, he can handle the losses, while some poor smuck gets put on the street with his family as he mortgaged his house and went all-in on BTC on Saylors “advice”.

Deserved. Never listen to a random who doesn’t know your financial situation.

The thing some people don’t see this and look at “successful people” and think “I too can be a billionaire if I take his/her advice” and not even question things… It is no different from the preachers on TV promising “heaven” if you give generously. And spend your cash on jets etc.

Over the years I’ve heard many people lament that they didn’t buy bitcoins earlier. “If only I had bought in 201X, I would be rich now!” Don’t fret; for most people, if they had bought in March 201X for $Y, they would have sold in April 201X for $Y + 20% gain.

I always say there is never a bad time to convert bad money to good money. Just do it as fast as you can.

The real winners will be those with conviction and hold power! At any price!

It’s way easier for BTC to go from 40k to a mil than it was to go from 1 to $100.

Oh Gawd….

No, it’s true. Sure the money needed is less but the risk was highest, and thus hardest. it’s an easy no-brainer now to buy because it’s a sure thing by now.

Never forget the people who bought BTC at $60k and are down 40%.

But honestly, at this point, there are a whole lot of ways in the crypto space that you could recover whatever you lost.

Never forget people who sold at 69k thinking there’s no way it will go to a million.

Yea but that’s why you invest only what u can afford to lose and otherwise DCA in with available funds. Plenty of people lasted through the drawdowns and ended up with insane gains, it’s nothing about risk.

Who buys now needs to wait it gets to 300k dollars before making a 10x. So I would not criticize who bought at 1 and left at 10, or nobody is going to buy BTC now.

how about the ppl that bought at 69k dollars and watched it go to 30k dollars?…or bought at 15-20k dollars in 2017 (majority of BTC buyers that year) thinking they would be rich in 5 years only to make far less than they would in decent stocks.

This narrative has nothing to do with the market now. 10x is possible, in a long long time….100x, not so much. Before it started from scratch.

To be fair nothing went over $1000 at the time. If I could just go back and Coach would put me in the fourth quarter, we would’ve been state champions. No doubt. No doubt in my mind.
