Michael Saylor shared: Gains aren’t real until converted into Bitcoin. Losses aren’t final until you sell that Bitcoin.
Community Response: From what perspective and based on? It’s not a loss until you sell. Or they force you to sell and take your house.
I don’t understand this at all. Alts peak just after BTC, right? Why would you take profit on alts and switch into an asset that is or will be falling in value?
The average price of the Saylor’s Bitcoin portfolio is 30k. So, I guess the red line triggering the portfolio sale would be the market price between 35-38k.
He doesn’t care, he’s just glad he’s able to keep buying it, his average is 30k he’d still buy it at 100k. It’s the BTC that is valuable not its price now.
And the Bitcoin isn’t yours until you hold the keys. Your assets do nothing until you swap them to EGLD.
If you’re investing in Bitcoin, remember the timeframes. Always shoot for longer timeframes, stop being fearful, stop trading incessantly and HOLD long and strong.
First, we have to buy then can sell, what are the ways to buy? Can’t wait for you to tell your board that your mark to market ROI on Bitcoin is 0%.
Leveraged liquidations are the equivalent of sub-prime mortgage crashes circa 2007. Market will recover.
Man of laser will buy this dip will head this in to bull market. Your conviction is admirable and I suffer the same, but we are all going to be heavily underwater for 2 years.
Don’t lose focus. The ride is a long bumpy ride. Bitcoin. And, what about 3 block halvings down the line when miners aren’t making enough from block rewards and fees? I’m happy to lower my average cost per purchase by buying dips.
What do you mean by “sell bitcoin”? Do you mean invest in something else, like fiat currency?
Save Yourself Michael. Sell the dip before it dips into the deep of the deeps in the deepest dip.
We won’t just go straight up, that’s too easy. Weak hands get shaken out and they bring us down, strong hands buy and lift us up. We have an amazing year ahead, Michael.
In 2022, we will have the most amount of people getting into Bitcoin and crypto ever. Another country (or 3) will be holding Bitcoin as a reserve asset similar to gold.
Gains aren’t real when your average entry price is $45,000. The $45K looks high right now, probably won’t in 12-24 months. Eager to see the Q1-Q2 results from MicroStrategy absolute.
If you don’t believe in Bitcoin or think it’s going to crash, well I’m sorry, is not your fault. But, please invest in yourself through acquiring knowledge, at least in Macroeconomics so you understand what’s going on. How do we measure our profits? Need to do it with a measuring stick that’s not constantly getting shorter.
