Charlie Shrem in the past stated about how he realized that the ideals of Bitcoin being the only thing is not right.  He feels he should have been agnostic.  And, should have been more XRP.

The Ripple Story as told by David Schwartz in the past about the founding of the XRP ledger, the team, why they are involved, why did they start this thing when Bitcoin was doing so great and on why start something else.  Those who listen to this might have their opinions changed.  The host opines that it is worth taking the time to listen to something that we may not want to.

I have to say one of the facts that surprises me the most is the thing that attracted me about Bitcoin is that and there are lot of other people too who think that the financial infrastructure was just ancient. And, it just was not working for people.

Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted:  “Bitcoin (BTC) is a technology, which might not be inherently the best forever, as technology is subject to change. Let’s us wait to see who will dethrone the mighty BTC.”

Bitcoin (BTC) Investors Motivated Coming of Ripple

And, the Bitcoin spirit was like lets us just throw that away and let us just take a clean sheet of paper and let us just build something new with the technologies available to us. Bitcoin is a creature of the internet, not a creature whatever the financial system grew out of like the old tape machines.

And, let us not care about enriching the kind of stake holders, let us build new stake holders. Let us build it on the basis of technical merit and it will be fantastic and people will use it and that is the spirit that built the internet.

And, the weird thing is that fantastically as earliest like mid 2011 Bitcoin had hardened in to the point where it was hostile to innovation.  And, people were like don’t build something new. And, I have to say part of the motivation was the purity of the spirit of it. But I think a lot of it were people who were invested in Bitcoin. They wanted to build on the technology that enriched them and banks want you to build on the technology that enriched them.

And some were like this is a new technology, it is inherently liberating and inherently good for people, but I think that also lies with the idea of I am invested in this technology and therefore you need to build on the technology.
