The Bitcoin Mining Council is a voluntary and open forum of Bitcoin miners committed to the network and its core principles. We promote transparency, share best practices, and educate the public on the benefits of Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining.
The mandate of the Bitcoin Mining Council is to promote transparency, share best practices, and educate the public on the benefits of Bitcoin and Bitcoin mining. Any Bitcoin Miner can be Part of the Council.
Michael Saylor shared: “Q4 Bitcoin Mining Council Survey Confirms Improvements in Sustainable Power Mix and Technological Efficiency. The estimated sustainable energy mix was 58.5%.”
Community Response: Much of that sustainable power crowd others into fossil fuels. Don’t fight it. It’s 1.0 technology. Swap into the next great coin Mike. I’m sure he has a strategy to dump the pump.
Whatever Bitcoin is going to $0.
The 58 percent will not satisfy anyone. Even if it is better than most industries it has a target on its back.
You should take the Council to Congress on Thursday.
Elon Musk, it’s your turn again! The energy mix of bitcoin mining is cleaner than the power mix of (almost) any country. It incentivizes renewables! Oh, and don’t forget to implement Lightning for Tesla merch.
The term “energy mix covers a wide range of energy sources of a region.” A lot of research is going on in this area to meet energy requirements in a given geographic region to identify sustainable mining resources.
But the renewable energy mix for the US is only 20%. It’s like the network incentivizes cheap electricity generation and prevents waste.
One more quarter the data points to renewables dominance and positive trend. How long will you keep ignoring it Elon Musk? Or will TSLA resume bitcoin support as you promised?
Bitcoin and eth are doomed to fail. Their “reduced” mining solutions are a gimmick. There’s a reason China got rid of miners, the system is not sustainable nor efficient.
I am excited about the future of energy. Bitcoin as digital energy has the means to support and pay for the next grid upgrades and that is good for life in this world and at large.
Intel-Microstrategy-Green Energy suppliers – Job done will it not? Perhaps, may be.
But 100% of the energy usage is still redundant for a consensus network. Energy is forever required for BTC to survive. Energy consumption arising from bitcoin mining will forever be a highly-debated topic.
What do you think about the race of layer-1 blockchains, do we have enough layer-1 blockchains like Ethereum, BSC, Avalanche?
Observing all the political and financial currents between the people and the governments, it just looks like we will lose against Bitcoin. This is clear, but you do not want people to know.
