Pre-Taproot Bitcoin gave developers already the magic of transferring value in a trust less manner across the internet. Now with Taproot it even adds ingredients that allow building anonymous and endless scaling second layer solutions with smart contracts of any kind.
Finally, something new and interesting to talk about that involves bitcoin. It was feeling like your grandpa that ask you the same questions EVERY time you see them.
Seriously? Nation states are adopting it, volcanoes are mining it, and pro athletes are getting paid in it.
Everyone missed the point of a store of value. Although it was designed as currency its ‘digital gold’ not both. Complexity bred systemic failure. It’s a hedgehog and not a fox.
What kind of tech are you thinking of? What are some of the lowest hanging fruit?
Stacks is ahead of the curve for sure. I believe it will have the biggest impact on wallets. People could create wallets that have a way of spending bitcoins even though they forgot their seeds. Just as in the traditional banking system people can call the bank to reset their password.
People will be less scared of losing access and it will lead to mass adoption.
What do you think will be built on Bitcoin now Taproot is live? DeFi? NFTs? Bitcoin already can do NFT’s
Is the update really that important or just overhyped? Are there any resources you know of to learn more about writing smart contracts using Taproot? I really want to learn more but my usual google isn’t turning up too much.
Queue every Bitcoin maxi converting from saying NFT’s are worthless once they have them on Bitcoin.
Definitely not priced in. Very few appreciate what’s going on with Bitcoin and taproot. The only coin with enough liquidity and integrity to legitimately allow non-secured loans.
I don’t know what Taproot is and at this point I’m too afraid to ask.
