XRPL Ranks Third in Stablecoin Growth Behind Arc and Tempo

XRP Ledger (XRPL) secured the third position in the global ranking of blockchain platforms by the pace of weekly growth in stablecoin capitalization, with a net inflow of $58.3 million over the reported seven-day period.

The ranking was derived from the official weekly report of the RWA Foundation, which utilized on-chain data provided by the analytics platform Token Terminal. This inflow occurred following a significant decline in the network’s stablecoin capitalization. As of October 22, XRPL’s stablecoin capitalization had decreased by 13.19% week-over-week to approximately $999.9 million. The drop coincided with Ripple moving a portion of its RLUSD supply to the Ethereum network.

Networks Leading the Ranking

Arc, a specialized blockchain network launched by Circle, occupied the first place in the ranking. Arc functions as an infrastructure layer designed for the automated settlements of AI agents and smart contracts. During the reported week, the volume of stablecoins on Arc increased by $252.2 million. This figure was more than 2.5 times the result of its closest competitor in the ranking.

Tempo, a payment blockchain platform, held the second position. The network recorded a weekly capital inflow of $98.2 million. Tempo is a Layer 1 network developed with the participation of Stripe and the venture firm Paradigm. Its primary focus is on commercial merchant settlements. The growth in Tempo’s metrics was driven by the inflow of liquidity into its base stablecoin, Open USD (OUSD).

In terms of the volume of attracted funds for the specific period, XRPL outpaced other major blockchain platforms. TON recorded a net inflow of $9.6 million, while Polygon recorded a net inflow of $9.4 million. XRPL’s $58.3 million inflow placed it significantly ahead of these two networks in the weekly growth metrics.

XRPL Technical Developments

Technical testing of the SponsoredAccountCreate update continues within the XRPL ecosystem. This feature is designed to reduce corporate costs through fee subsidization. It allows companies to mass-create wallets for their clients without the requirement for a mandatory freeze of a starting balance of 1 XRP.

The implementation of this feature depends on the Sponsor amendment. As of October 29, the amendment had received only nine validator votes. This number is far short of the required supermajority needed to activate the feature on the mainnet. The testing phase proceeds while the amendment gathers the necessary support from validators.
