Stellar Lumens (XLM) Horizon Perceptions of Female Technical Talent and More in Diversity and Inclusion

Stellar Lumens International Womens day

Talking about Horizon, Stellar expressed, “This major release has been years in the making. It lets people deploy Horizon with fewer resources, under looser constraints, and with far more flexibility than ever before.”

For clarity, Horizon 2.0 is introducing massive performance and architecture benefits, which makes running Stellar Infrastructure easier than ever before:  The optimized Captive Stellar Core will be able to process the transactions in-memory.  Disk space requirements have been vastly reduced (by 100s of GBs).  Ingestion is now in orders of magnitude that is faster (weeks -> a day), meaning.  The Horizon database is no longer precious: it can be rebuilt quickly.  There’s no separate Stellar Core instance to manage, meaning.  No more database requirements for Stellar Core.

The migration guide is also made available.  Stellar have celebrated the upcoming International Women’s Day and they wanted to shine a spotlight on the female technical talent that is existing in the Stellar Development Foundation.

Coming to SDF from a wide array of backgrounds, the programmers and technical program managers who are women have discussed their experiences working on exciting products and projects, while navigating their careers with several pivots when entering the blockchain industry.

They have given advice to people who are looking to pursue a career in programming.  And, they have answered several other stuff.  The unique perspectives of the women building in blockchain will be of interest to new programmers.  This will help them get an insight in to what they have to state to pick in a perception about a developer career from there.

Denelle Dixon Cherished on how she had the opportunity to celebrate IWD2021 with SDF’s VP of Engineering Karen Chang today on decryptmedia’s daily podcast.  She further reinstated on how they spoke about the importance of diversity and inclusion in blockchain and what they are doing at SDF to deliver.

The March 08, 2021, talk at Decrypt was about leading with Diversity and Inclusion in a Crypto Company.

In a recent Webinar about driving inclusion through compliance, users were able to know more about FinClusive’s work with anchors in the Stellar ecosystem in terms of meeting compliance obligations while adhering to the principle of inclusion.

Also, FinClusive and SDF shared a common goal to be able to create greater access to the global financial infrastructure by way of compliant and secure means. Thus, together, FinClusive and the Stellar ecosystem will be able to provide a comprehensive compliance layer and accessible digital payments rail.

Denelle, further pointed to how women have inspired her in her personal and professional life especially the millions worldwide who have stepped up in unprecedented ways during the pandemic to take on more responsibility than ever. On International Women’s day, she stated, “Today is a tribute to you.”
