Input-Output stated they are set to initiate Fund6 with 4M worth of ADA.  A fresh round of experiments in decentralized governance is set to take the stage.

Those who are willing to join the meeting consisting of the Coin Project Catalyst team and community for the weekly town hall followed by an open space with break-out rooms should register.

The town halls are mostly recorded and can be reproduced publicly to provide their primary function of spreading awareness about current events happening at Project Catalyst.

All the participants will have the option to disable their camera and microphone before joining. Having audio/video on is encouraged but not mandatory. Those who are not comfortable with having the screen on can keep it off. Registration serves the purpose of filtering/preventing spam and bots from joining the event. This enables users to enjoy the town hall format in a safe and orderly way.

Cardano Community had a lot to discuss about the amendment and its course:

I am not the symbol of paralyzed government.  I think sometimes you have to slow down the process and use the rules of the senate. I don’t think I abuse the rules. – Paraphrased quote of Senator Shelby.

Once blockchain allows us to vote securely, inexpensively with sufficient transparency and auditability, then we will no longer need to elect representatives. Direct democracy. Then it works.

You need to fix the media/social media before you can aim for direct democracy.

It seems to be working; the people got what the majority voted for.  Democracy is fine; it’s capitalism that maintains the status quo for the desperately poor.

Unfortunately, they didn’t predict anything, merely commented on what was going on back then. Sadly history repeats itself.

Good thing we’re a representative republic; the more “democratized” we become, the less free.  Part of the problem is the age of a lot of Senators.

It’s not democracy that doesn’t work; it’s the people who don’t work for the whole of society, but only for their good.

It is still the Best of the Worst, but real democracy is like in Ancient Greece, where every citizen had to vote on every occasion. But mankind is lazy, so we invented elected representatives for years without accountability – we need to change that slowly and worldwide.
