IGNITION was Solana’s highest output hackathon yet, producing 500+ project submissions from teams around the globe. Congrats to the winners.

The hackathon brought together developers, designers, and business operators from around the world to develop new Web3, DeFi, Gaming, and Digital Art and Collectables NFTs applications leveraging Solana’s speed, low fees, and scalability.

A total of 22 standout projects were selected by judges to receive a prize. An additional 23 projects also showed tremendous potential and earned an Honorable Mention from our judges.

The Grand Prize Award Winner is Katana_HQ, an asset management protocol building investment products across the risk spectrum! Katana will receive $75k + 2 tickets to SolanaConf.

First place in the defi track goes to AtrixProtocol, an AMM that allows for seamless creation of liquidity pools and farms on Serum.

First place in the web3 track goes to project_citadel, a desktop client for Solana protocols.

First place in the gaming track goes to RushdownRevolt, a collectibles and metaverse framework.

First place in the NFT track goes to neftify, an NFT lending platform for play-to-earn games.  Second place in the defi track goes to SuperpositionFi, a decentralized fixed income protocol.

Third place in the DeFi track goes to AverBet: decentralized and trustless betting markets.

Fourth place in the defi track goes to 01_protocol, a decentralized derivatives protocol offering everlasting options on Solana. Fifth place in the DeFi track goes to fluidity money, a system that allows users to earn yield as a consequence of using their cryptocurrencies through Fluid Assets.

Second place in the Web3 track goes to Bulldozer (HeavyDutyBuild), a low code platform that makes it easier to build Solana programs, powered by Anchor.  Third place in the Web3 track goes to Alon (lithdew), an IDE empowered by a WebAssembly port of Solana’s compiler suite.

Fourth place in the Web3 track goes to Chain_Crunch, a platform for on-chain analytics.  Fifth place in the Web3 track goes to saydialect, an on-chain messaging protocol & mobile app that supports dapp-to-user and user-to-user messaging.

Second place in the Gaming track goes to Portals, a web-based metaverse platform for Solana.  Third place in the Gaming track goes to EizperChain, a multiplayer action role-playing game that contains synergy between adventure and arena battle.

And more of other prizes were provided.  A number of ecosystem projects also sponsored prizes for IGNITION.

Response from other participants:  Congrats everyone. We did not make it but will grateful that we were able to take our idea to certain stage of implementation during hackathon. We intend to continue building on it. More news soon.
