Qtum has been designed to permit smart contracts and DApps to operate on the foundations of Bitcoin technology. It is an open-source project which is built using technologies from both Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Particularly, it makes use of Bitcoin’s Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) as a foundation, with the powerful Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) on it top, therefore Qtum taps into the potential of smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps).

Being a global, peer-to-peer (P2P) Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network of its kind, QTUM, is working towards becoming a part of several industries and sectors, which includes social media, finance, logistics, and manufacturing.

The compatibility of QTUM with Bitcoin and Ethereum, range of programming languages, and developer resources, is proposed to be advantageous for blockchain infrastructure projects.

Janus from Qtum translates Ethereum API calls to Qtum. The expectation is that Janus will play a big role in getting developers’ attention and support them decide to move to the QTUM environment alongside the other advantages of QTUM as well as the cheaper transactions compared to the ETH network.

Patrick Dai expressed, “The future of the crypto ecosystem lies in establishing proper interoperability. Janus will allow Qtum to sync easily with Ethereum’s ecosystem and empower developers to create multi-chain applications.”

Crypto Canvas 2 and test the creation of NFT has been happening in the Qtum community.

Previously, Qtum Core v0.20.4 was released with an unofficial side-loaded Ledger application. Users were thus empowered to be able to control their QRC20 tokens and offline stake using the QT wallet. A blog post with installation instructions has also been released.

For sometimes, staking QTUM using Avado was very exciting. AVADO is bolstered its DAppstore ecosystem and they are proud to announce that it will now be supporting QTUM staking. Decentralized finance (DeFi) and distributed systems are flourishing in 2021, and QTUM is a blockchain platform offering heaps of potential for the future of Web3.0 and beyond.

By staking, QTUM tokens with AVADO, the staker will be able to become the active validating node, thus earning interest for helping to run the network security and infrastructure. There is a minimum amount of token required to run a node.

Community Response:  Moonlandmeta is the metaverse project on Qtum. And, it is all set to come soon.

QTUM, the 92nd largest blockchain, was among the leading blockchains apart from Bitcoin to support the Taproot upgrade. Hope, JANUS delivers with Metamask support.

The price of QTUM is volatile and very few seem to be convinced.
