Dan Held shared: Owning Bitcoin gives you the power to reject authority.
Community Response:
Could you pump it so I can reject authority even more, please?
But what do you do with bitcoin when the government bans it?
People think Bitcoin is magic and save the world, if gov wants to stop it and make it illegal they can then each one who got crypto will play with it online to buy NFTs.
Governments have been trying to make it illegal for 12 years with no luck so No that’s just false information.
Trying they didn’t make it yet illegal! Yet they can make it like drugs and then who uses it will be criminal it just simple as that, they banned Russia from the world and you think they can’t ban crypto.
No, they can’t “ban bitcoin”, trying and succeeding isn’t the same thing.
Ok this is my view on this and I know they can and it will just be easy as we want to ban bitcoin coz Russia using it for example!
They can pass all the laws they want it that doesn’t mean it will significantly affect anything about bitcoin. The only way you can stop bitcoin is to destroy every computer on earth since that’s not happening No it doesn’t matter what laws they pass.
I know exactly what you mean but am saying it’s just nothing if they want to destroy adoption and make people use it labeled criminals nobody will touch it.
And I know that’s false because they’ve already tried multiple times. So the real question is why are you on a pro bitcoin post under a pro bitcoin news account?
Until the gov wants to add restrictions. The fact that they are talking about restricting crypto for Russia flies in the face of decentralization & crypto tenets. We are all slaves to our gov willingly or grudgingly.
Spoken like a very privileged person. To what extent should BTC holders reject “authority?” Do you think everyone can do this?
Until they shut down the internet and power grids.
It’s not a rejection of authority if the “authority“was never legitimate in the first place. Otherwise, it is wise to respect authority.
So true. I didn’t understand this until I took off-exchange. It changed me. Power + freedom felt profound.
When govt against it, what will you do with BTC sitting in your pocket? Who will do business with you? Are you ready to run a parallel BTC pro marketplace?
I moved most of my money in bitcoin and tether not only because I love crypto but because I hate my government too.
Bitcoin becomes money because nobody can take it away. Besides the math, that’s what makes it superior.
Genuine question. How do you see bitcoin allowing one to reject authority? When authorities banned bitcoin in China, didn’t bitcoin holders just have to comply? Or was only mining that was banned?
Unfortunately, truckers in Canada cannot agree with you…
Owning Bitcoin gives you the power to have authority over your financial freedom.
It’s not enough to merely reject authority, you need to embrace reason and economics knowledge.
Just a little bit because we’re not big enough for the government to feel threatened. When we get big enough it’ll get manipulated like gold.
Authorities control you through money.
Bitcoin taking away this control from the authorities.
