Tyler Van Der Hoeven, Ecosystem Evangelist at Stellar stated that he has recently compiled his thoughts and strategies into a roadmap to victory post.

Tyler tweeted:  “To be on the other side of the SCF is an honor and I’m thrilled for the future of both Stellar and our community. We’ve got something special and it’s my privilege to stand next to so many amazing folks – like you! – as we create the future of finance together.”

Tyler expressed that Stellar Community Fund provides people from all over the world a chance to start their stellar-based projects to connect to the Stellar Community that is thriving.  Also, stated that the ideas can be road tested in a way to get real feedback from developers and potential users.  This in order to win funding to permit users to pursue their vision. He also expressed that this is a rare opportunity to win rewards without that comes without any strings attached.

Tyler being the community fund manager at SDF recalled on how his Stellar Journey began with a series of successful entries in to the SDF community.

He pointed to how developers focus on creating quality projects, but miss out on other important contributors and catalysts for success.  He also stated how this can even prohibit their success in the SCF entries.

Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted:  “I agree with Tyler Van Der Havens’ statement about picking the right problem to solve for the right thing to build.  Stellar Lumens (XLM) given in SCF for lab and seed funds help winning.”

Since there are two types of funds, developers were asked to check the criteria and goals to ensure they make the right submissions to the right fund.

Stellar Lumens (XLM) Seed Fund

The Stellar Lumens Seed Fund has stiff competition and the prize pool is huge.  The rules for inclusion and choosing the finalists is very demanding.  The lab fund reportedly has a lower prize pool, but they have to recommend that it is not good to sleep on the lab fund because it can prove to be a consistent source of success to provide the needed support to make it possible for a strong seed fund entry.

The spirit of rules and guidelines are missed by several decent entries.  Following the rules is important, failing which it is going to be an easy pass for judges and voters. Since the project is a reflection of the developer’s face, it is considered to be important to put their best self out there.
