Shopping at Walmart vide Metaverse Probably Nerdy Thing

How about shopping in Walmart from your home through the metaverse? You need not worry about parking space or long lines.  You can inspect and buy form Walmart from your home through metaverse.  Sounds good, but many are eerie about the experience.  They are not really able to integrate their expectations to this new possibility.  Different people have different views about this kind of experience.

Community Response:  This crap would make a quick 5-minute shopping trip into a 1-hour time suck! Look at how slow and tedious everything is.  What’s next, write using quill pens or smoke signals in the metaverse because emails are so a last century thing?

If you can earn from the food section to electronics and run back to the cashier in 5 minutes, sure I like to shop in Walmart through Metaverse.

Why would I buy groceries in metaverse if I cannot eat virtually? What’s the point of it? Am I missing anything?  You can do all the shopping virtually and have the actual products dropped off at your real home.  You mean Instacart? Anyways, I don’t shop at Walmart in the real verse let alone the metaverse.

Similar, but with the visualization aspect. Even more realistic application with clothes, shoes, home decor etc.  Yes, young boys love the metaverse, but eventually the majority of them will discover drugs, booze and titties. Metaverse is not the future, it will always be a place for people who don’t have autonomy yet to enjoy the real world and some nerds.

I regret thinking Bitcoin was just for nerds 10 years ago.  Then, suddenly a bunch of colourful people jump in and start dancing and singing along weird song around you. and you realize That’s Ads.

Speak for yourself, this looks way better than actually going and dealing with everything that goes along with it.

Does Pomp know about $RFOX?  I’d be shocked if he doesn’t know about the top 3 metaverse project in the entire space. Even if they’re selling NFTs? What is the benefit of this Walmart Metaverse/Realverse?

Actually, it’s a good idea. If the metaverse really takes off you will see most companies in different sectors transition into the metaverse, after all its a virtual world and a world includes shops.

We have that already in a form where you don’t need to own expensive uncomfortable headsets and pretend to walk around a virtual space.  It’s called an online store. Should try amazon someday.  The Metaverse is a gimmick that is at least 5-10 years from being a decent thing.

You’re the new David Letterman.  Not at all. I am all for things being robust, fast and easy to use. Sadly, VR as is stands is none of those. Its super cool and very fun to play with, but it is not ready for any practical use for the mainstream yet. Augmented reality is more likely to get adoption first – I think.

Did you know that statistically around 70% of people get motion sick after 30 minutes of using current VR tech? That is why most games using VR have the player stationary and why the best VR games are flying and driving games. It will get better, but it is a few years away still.

Is BLACK FRIDAY going to look like a CALL OF DUTY match now?  Actually, a COD type match robbers vs Cops and you loot a store is a great metaverse idea. You get to keep whatever you make away with alive in the virtual world.

So strange and a cringe feeling. It’s like going through an MRI machine.  Hard pass. Even if items are delivered, this means someone else is picking up the physical items. What if items have defects, but the delivery person puts it in your “basket” anyway? I want to inspect my produce and refrigerated food before I “buy” it.

Ok bro go stand in that long line at Walmart, good luck finding a parking spot.  You’re so wrong. Many of us want the low prices, without the in-person experience of Walmart.  Just threw that milk back without any regard to stacking it nicely.  Metaverse is going to turn everybody into METASLOBS.

Is that somehow different than a real Walmart shelf?  Seems a bit daunting shopping in the Metaverse. What makes it different than just buying your goods online? Easy to add in your cart, pay and they are delivered on your doorstep. Same process – just that Metaverse feels so #Real. Will be a #milestone in the tech industry.
