Bitbase launched ORIGIN on November 4, 2026, the first season of its new Bitbase Points program. The digital asset exchange distributed 1,000,000 points each week during the 26-week season, which runs until May 4, 2027. Ahead of the launch, Bitbase credited points to eligible users who had been trading on the platform, ensuring their past activity counted from day one.
Integration with Bitbase 2.0
ORIGIN is the first component of Bitbase 2.0 to reach users directly. The company unveiled version 2.0 on November 2, 2026, introducing an upgraded app, website, and a new brand identity built around the statement “Market Flows. We Focus.” The platform’s approach to participation mirrors this brand identity. Rather than rewarding single bursts of activity, ORIGIN evaluates user behavior day after day over a six-month period. The program credits the contribution users make across that entire timeframe.
Participation mechanics and rewards
Bitbase designed ORIGIN around existing user behavior on the exchange. Eligible users, whether new or existing, are enrolled automatically without separate registration. Points are allocated daily based on each participant’s contribution, which draws from four specific sources: trading, assets held on Bitbase, consistent activity, and referrals. Because consistency is one of the four sources, steady participation accumulates over the course of the season.
The program also includes a referral incentive. A referrer receives an additional 25% of the contribution of each new user they refer directly. This bonus does not affect the new user’s own contribution. Starting November 9, 2026, participants receive a shareable Trading Identity card that reflects their trading habits. A new card is issued every Monday until the season ends.
Nicholas Lo, Chief Business Officer at Bitbase, stated that Bitbase 2.0 is about focus, meaning users know their steady participation is recognized and credited. He noted that ORIGIN started by crediting what users had already done with the platform. “It doesn’t ask anyone to trade differently. It simply records the participation that’s already there, every day, for the next six months,” Lo said.
Users can track their points and rankings in the Bitbase app and on the website. Full details of the program are available at bitbase.com/points. Bitbase serves individual and institutional users worldwide, with products spanning Spot, Futures, TradFi, and Earn.
