Bitbase launched ORIGIN on November 4, 2026, the first season of its Bitbase Points program designed to reward sustained participation over a 26-week period ending May 4, 2027. The exchange will distribute 1,000,000 points each week, allocating them daily based on each participant’s specific contribution to the platform.
Four Sources of Contribution
Participant contributions are calculated from four distinct sources: trading activity, assets held on Bitbase, consistent activity, and referrals. Consistent activity is treated as a separate category, meaning that day-to-day participation adds directly to a user’s total contribution score. All eligible users, whether new to the platform or already active, are enrolled automatically in the program.
The referral structure grants the referrer an additional 25% of the referred user’s contribution for each new user brought directly to the platform. The new user’s own points remain unaffected by this bonus structure. In addition to points, participants will receive a Trading Identity card, a shareable summary of their trading style. The first batch of these cards is scheduled for issuance on November 9, with new cards released every Monday for the remainder of the season.
Bitbase 2.0 Integration
ORIGIN is the first program implemented under Bitbase 2.0, which the exchange introduced on November 2. This update revised the company’s brand, app, and website under the statement “Market Flows. We Focus.” The company stated that while markets move continuously, it chose to assess participation across months rather than individual moments.
Nicholas Lo, Chief Business Officer at Bitbase, said the program was designed for users who participate consistently, not only during the busiest market periods. “Over a six-month season, that consistency carries weight. Our responsibility is to make sure every contribution is credited, from the first day of the season to the last,” Lo said.
Before the season began, Bitbase credited points to eligible existing users based on their earlier activity. These users enter ORIGIN with their prior activity already reflected in their current points and ranking. Points and rankings are accessible through the Bitbase app and at bitbase.com/points.
Bitbase is a digital asset exchange serving individual and institutional users worldwide, with products spanning Spot, Futures, TradFi, and Earn. Harry Yang serves as the Content Lead for the company.
