Monero (XMR) has seen steady month-over-month growth and is continuing to show how valuable it’s privacy, speed, and low fees are to users looking to spend their cryptocurrency.
With Seraphis and many other developments progressing steadily, an exciting 2022 is ahead for XMR.
Clever things are in store for Monero keys with Seraphis incl: * Unified address format * Plausible deniability receiving outputs using a LWS * Omit amount received in outputs using a LWS * Optionally share full wallet history (full viewing key).
One of the most powerful use-cases for Monero today is as a privacy-preserving method for donations. An increasing number of privacy-conscious individuals, FOSS projects, and more choose to accept Monero for donations.
It becomes very easy to donate to causes you care about. Unlike when using Paypal, credit cards and bank transfers there is no personal data to be submitted. The donation, address, and balance are not displayed publicly on the blockchain unlike Bitcoin.
It becomes possible to accept donations safely and privately without censorship. There is no bank account or ID required to accept donations under a pseudonym. There are no third parties and therefore people donate to your recipient directly. Thus, no restrictions, no censorship, no locked funds and no high fees.
Creating a donation address is easy. There is no registration or personal details required. It all starts with creating a Monero Wallet and then adding the donation address to the website or social media page to begin donations.
Community: No crypto makes me feel safer than Monero. Monero will face huge Dump and Down in 2023 may down to 35$ But only high IQ people will hold it. 2029 one XMR will be 10000$ or more. XMR structure is inevitable.
Alternate views are like: “I don’t see why it would dump in 2023. In fact, the Tokenomics would dictate the very opposite considering tail emission in April 2022.”
Monero is perfection to me. It could be faster (10×2 minutes for full confirmation), but that aside everything about is beautiful, except the occasional social media drama.
Privacy is a feature not a stand-alone product. It will be added on L2 to the chains with greater network effect. Lightning and ZK rollups already paving the way. What’s your thesis for stand alone?
Unfortunately, with the serious attempts to blacklist XMR, organizations receiving it face problems converting the gifts into usable funds.
As more people accept Monero for donations and more merchants accept it for payments, the need to convert to fiat becomes less and less. This is why building circular economies is *so* important, as it slowly removes the need for fiat on/off-ramps.
A strong circular economy is by far the best possible future.
