Polygon (Previously Matic Network) is the first Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development platform that is well structured and easy to use. Its main component is the Polygon SDK, a flexible and modular platform that supports the creation of different types of applications. Polygon effectively transforms Ethereum into a fully multi-chain system (also known as the Blockchain Internet). The $MATIC token will continue to exist and will play an increasingly important role in securing the system and providing governance.
Network resumes update from Polygon Developers.
The development team revealed that they had installed “interim fixes” to restore block production a few hours later.
Here you can see an exact response updated by developer team:
“Polygon PoS has resumed operation as the team has deployed a temporary hotfix to address the issue. All user funds are safe. We’re working on a long-term solution and will continue to update the official forum and other channels.”
However, a search for a long-term fix is ongoing, indicating that the problem is not completely resolved.
Polygon Devs alerted users to an issue regarding Tendermint implementation, leading to network downtime on March 10,2022.
Here is an alert provided by Polygon developers team.
“Network update: The team is currently looking into an issue with the Tendermint implementation used by one of the two layers of Polygon PoS chain. All users’ funds and data remain fully secure but there is a potential threat of Polygon PoS users experiencing downtime sporadically.”
Thus, sparking angry wave among users
Because of this downtime, users faced issues and they shouted in twitter about their individual problem. Users have complained of error messages about lack of funds, transaction disruptions and failures.
One user shared “I had a tx and my address is correct but Txid in polygonscan shows nothing and I didn’t receive my money. I wasted my time and money by trusting your network.”
Another user expressed, “Just tried to make a purchase on Opensea, I converted eth, then had to wait. The wait menu box disappeared from the screen and No money is in the Eth Polygon address either. Is it you or Opensea that is at fault. Have I lost my money!!”
Another user questioned, “Will you be paying me interest on the several thousand dollars I have sitting in your wallet right now? ”
Polygon users are waiting to get a permanent solution for this issue and the developer team of polygon is continuously working on it.
