BitTorrent are continuing with their mission of building a better internet for people to make it possible to move information freely and safely.

BitTorrent Inc expressed that on September 06, 2020 the BTFS Network have dropped mining rewards and that the BTFS network as being one that is attracting global miners in an accelerated way.

The rewards were dropped to the Top 10 winners of the BTFS Storage Space Mining Competition.

Reportedly, 25,000,000 BTT is distributed to 4,531 Host user nodes over 100 MiB according to the storage ratio and 5,000,000 BTT is equally distributed among 8,576 online user nodes over 8.5 points (out of 10 points). Instruction about how to withdraw BTT from BTFS is clearly provided.

In the past month, BitTorrent Inc., known for peer-to-peer protocols and products, declared that they have crossed 2 billion installations of their popular torrent client software on Windows, Mac and Android.

Of note, BitTorrent Inc., are offering products across two brands, like BitTorrent and µTorrent.  This according to them was possible because of the longstanding popularity of their Classic desktop torrent clients and also their new Web-based torrent downloader and player which has been built for the streaming age.

BitTorrent (BTT) Protocol is Healthier

BitTorrent Inc published the data for BitTorrentSpend.  DAU is stable around 15.5M and MAU is 47M.  The amount of $BTT transferred in and out the private ledger via Exchange is nearly 5M a week and it is continuing to grow.

For those who are new, BTT is a TRC-10 utility token, which is based on the blockchain which powers the features of the most popular decentralized protocols and applications in the world. DApps powered by BTT consist of BitTorrent Speed, BitTorrent File System, DLive, and several others in the pipeline.
