Excelsior Gama is one of the largest and well-known grocery chain in Venezuela.  The chain is concentrated in the Caracas metro area with 24 locations bearing the Excelsior Gama totaling over 400 checkout lanes across the city. This makes the Excelsior Gama integration one of the largest physical store integrations to date in the cryptocurrency sector.  Dash Users can now shop for groceries and other everyday needs.

This integration now supports Dash’s growing use for remittances from millions of Venezuelans living abroad. This they do by enabling directly spend he incoming Dash for basic needs without first having to exchange it for local currencies. Using Dash now solves the change issue for the retailer, which is a challenge in Venezuela where smaller bills making change are scarce.

This also saves the consumer time at checkout because oftentimes changer isn’t readily available.  This is why Dash provides a significantly better purchase experience for both users and merchants at the checkout.

The Excelsior Gama integration is result of Dash’s direct integration in to the point of sale software solution from Megasoft and Cryptobuyer.  More major retailers are in the pipeline.
