Litecoin (LTC) is now BitcoinLite after Rebranding per Charlie Lee Not April Fool

Litecoin LTC is Now BitcoinLite Rebranding

BitcoinLite Foundation expressed, after much discussion, it has been decided that the Litecoin brand will undergo a transformation — Litecoin will be rebranding itself to “BitcoinLite”.

This, they claim is a historic event.

Charlie Lee stated, “Litecoin is rebranding to BitcoinLite! BitcoinLite as Satoshi Nakamoto intended.”

Some users commented:  April Fools. It might actually help get away from the “Charlie sold at the top” though if you rebranded. Some of them stated, Wow! Sometimes NAME could be a game changer! Like McDonalds.

They claim that BitcoinLite is just like Bitcoin, but “Lite” er. It is 4 times faster block times, cheaper network fees, and only 84 million coins.

It just goes like:  Download BitcoinLite Wallet, Buy BitcoinLite, and Signup for the BitcoinLite card.

The website summarizes in details about what took them towards the rebranding.

“Because he saw so many people buying the light-products, he came to the conclusion that it was important to stay close to the original product (Bitcoin), but drastically differentiating itself at the same time — hence, BitcoinLite.”

The publication in the website makes it very clear that there are no intentions of claiming the throne to being “the real Bitcoin.”

They also state, “Due to the lack of people researching Litecoin and failing to learn about how it’s basically Bitcoin Jr. (also PoW, algorithm dominant, no pre-mine, etc.), it only seemed logical to change the word “Litecoin” to “BitcoinLite”, mostly, ironically, to avoid confusion and not trick people into thinking it’s something other than that.”

They have also stated, Why, you ask? After thorough research and witnessing the amount of newcomers that were getting confused, buying Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin Gold thinking they were the real Bitcoin, we saw an opportunity to gain new followers that we’d previously been missing.

So, Litecoin wants to join the bandwagon of the list of other Bitcoin to get its recognition as Bitcoin Jr.

They are already ready with rejuvenating marketing campaign to help the cryptocurrency space understand that Litecoin will be rebranding itself to “BitcoinLite”.

Those who want to read the complete reason verbatim about the rebranding can visit the website. They have concluded stating, “it’s been a wild ride getting here, but we’re so glad to finally have reached this point. There’s no doubt that Lamb0g!gaChad will go down as a legend in BitcoinLite history for his hard work and contribution. April 1st marks the beginning of a fresh, brand-new quarter and so far, we’re starting it off with a kick. We’ll be keeping the community updated on this ongoing process.”
