Developers Working on Final Issues before Dogecoin 1.14.5 is Released

Mishaboar expressed:  Dogecoin Core developers are busy addressing the final issues before Dogecoin 1.14.5 is released. Patrick proposed a fix to the main bug that needs to be addressed before the release. The solution is actually a big change, so care is needed when testing and reviewing it.

During his stream on YouTube, yesterday, Ross went through Patrick’s proposals. He showed how the flow of having changes approved works in a project like Dogecoin. Every proposal needs to be reviewed and tested by another developer before becoming part of a release.

Community response:  Sell your doge and invest in Shiba before it’s too late. I warn u guys were a train and going to go in top #5 before end of the year.

Enjoy your time in the sun. Look at the top 10.  All coins have their own block chain or are stable coins. No room for tokens I’m afraid.

You think the Devs can implement a notification system in the Node software when a new release is out so we don’t have to beg everyone to upgrade your node.

There is a chance we will have this in the future but it is not trivial. A notification system whose content cannot be modified, redirecting to Dogecoin website could be a solution, but there are security concerns to address also in this very basic case.

Leaving aside the Doge in the logo, in terms of implementation: much faster transaction times, much lower fees, different algorithm (scrypt) which allows merged mining with Litecoin (less energy consumption), large supply, which makes it ideal to be used as a currency.

I did watch his stream, but it’s very helpful you putting it on here for everyone to see. Can’t wait for the update to be finally released and see what happens, thanks to all involved.

See what happens.  Whales will tank the price of Doge as they always do and people will lose money on Doge as they always do.  When do you think Doge devs can finish this thing?

Coding on the coin itself with billions of dollar involved should take time and real-good testing. Even if it takes some more weeks, it has to be perfect.

Dogecoin is dead. They have part time developers. Join SHIB army.  Even Elon posted pic of Shiba INU on Tesla.

You’re half correct; however due to popularity and behind the scene works, we now have

DogecoinFdn and look at the people involved. It’s a work in progress which you have to be patient. We have nothing against SHIB so why not BOTH instead of just bashing us.
