Ethereum Classic retweeted:  “#EthereumClassic social engagement is rising fast on ~2.8 million engagements so far today after hitting a new high on Jan 22 on ~4.4 million engagements. This metric includes deeper social activity and counts likes, retweets, comments, and more.”

Bob Summerwill tweeted:  “As I have said many times before, money does not motivate me, but *it is* a lovely vote of confidence to see #ethereumclassic back in the Top 10 again,” however, Summerwill further added a note of criticism stating that CoinMarketCap is not the most reliable of data sources.

Sydney Ifergan, the Crypto Expert, tweeted:  “Under the current trends if #EthereumClassic is named #10 by #coinmarketcap, it does make a difference in the market perception about the token.  Whether Coinmarket cap is the most accurate or not as @BobSummerwill states are the next in the line of things.”

Summerwill was perhaps disappointed because “#ethereumclassic is now #2 on ALT Rank of @LunarCRUSH.” The ranking metrics and the scale used for ranking differs from one list to another. However, the thing that is ranks makes a difference.

Ethereum Classic (ETC)

It should be recollected that Ethereum Classic (ETC) is also Ethereum.  One of the tweets from Bob Summerwill stated:  “#ETC is #Ethereum too and with complete compatibility, DeFi projects could also target #EthereumClassic very easily.”

The ETC Cooperative is a non-profit, which has been created to support the development and growth of Ethereum Classic financially. Bob Summerwill is the Executive director of the ETC cooperative.

ETCCooperative will be attending, speaking, and judging in events like “ETHDenver, ETHLondon, ETHCC, EDCON, Blockchain Revolution Global in Toronto and Consensus 2020.”

Social volume and social scores are important, because irrespective of technology, it is people who back technology and the happenings related to technology.

Ethereum Classic Episode #101

In Episode # 101 with BobSummerwill about Let’s Talk ETC, they were talking, “Agharta, Aztlan and Phoenix Day!” ETC followers get to know timely news about ETC and others. A lot of stuff is getting done, and members are driving things.  The reality is that it takes millions of strangers to understand and move things to the next level, which is already happening, and this is one reason for the recent rank improvement in coinmarketcap.

Many times more than the most influential people, it is millions of simple contributors who take things to the next level.    We still need the best of both influencers and normal people to sustain growth and make things useful for the community.
