Previously, DFINITY Foundation expressed:  NNS Proposal 31471: Upgrade to enable canister smart contracts to transfer ICP utility tokens adopted NNS now exerting the will of the community and automatically upgrading the Internet Computer.

This important feature sets the stage for the explosion of advanced DeFi applications on the Internet Computer blockchain — by expanding support for all canister smart contracts to be able to hold and transfer ICP tokens.

also have smart contracts and provide dynamic fees for any scale of transaction.

ICP is way too slow to even host a google drive. In terms of its competitive utility with the actual internet, it does not exist. People are talking about creating metaverses on ICP but that is impossible because they don’t have that kind of data storage and imagine the slumped speed.
