Lisk tweeted: “The #Lisk Betanet 3.0.0 is officially launched! This concludes the Security and Reliability phase of our protocol roadmap and adds block finality to our blockchain through a novel BFT consensus protocol.”
Lisk has had a recent improvement to its scalability, security, and essential features relating to future interoperability by way of the Launch of Betanet 3.0.0. This is a major milestone in the Lisk project.
The Lisk Foundation publishes a financial report every month. The report is transparently broken down into different categories. The major area of expenditure in the Lisk Foundation consists of money spend in research, development, and design of the Lisk Core, Explorer, Mobile, and Desktop.
The money spent on business development, event management, developer relations, and creative design is the key areas of growth for Lisk. It also includes traditional marketing and public relations, bounties and sponsorships, and operations.
The development of Lisk SDK 4.0.0 has already begun. This upgrade will focus on the implementation of the Network Economics and Network Consensus Phase.
Quality Assurance (QA) is the new major Lisk Core Candidate and the most time-intensive task because all the next phases will require hard forks. It requires at least one month to bring a version from the Alphanet to Betanet and yet two months to launch it on the Mainnet. Therefore, the QA for Security and Reliability, Network Economics, and Network Consensus phases have been performed only until the Betanet only. For each new phase a new betanet will be created.
The Mainnet is a single major update consisting of all major features from the previous phases. All the required hardforks are consolidated to one, and therefore the amount of backwards compatibility work is reduced.
Lisk focuses on creating a blockchain application platform that helps to make blockchain accessible and beneficial to everyone.
Sydney Ifergan, the Crypto Expert Tweeted: “The new Lisk Betanet 3.0.0 is officially launched. Thus, Lisk is facilitating the Gateway into the world of blockchain for new users at a much easy pace.”
Lisk community organizes several events, and developers can learn to code and network by connecting with local developers and other blockchain enthusiasts.
Lisk recently tweeted about self-sovereignty Identity and the related guiding principles consisting of factors like existence, control, access, transparency, persistence, portability, interoperability, consent, minimization, and protection.
The self-sovereign identity is more related to the concept of decentralization and the principles of financial freedom in the world of blockchain technology.
