Litecoin (LTC) Unlike NFTs There is no Scamming in Gaming

Litecoin

The new survival formula for Litecoin (LTC) seems to be gaming.  They are probably not behind NFTs.

Charlie Lee of Litecoin (LTC) very clearly expressed his unhappy attitude toward NFTs. However, he simplified the whole drama stating:  “See a lot of parallels between 2021’s NFTs with 2017’s ICOs and 2013’s altcoins: – easy to create new ones with no barriers – simple to understand & explain – brings tons of new people into crypto – high prices & pumps create hype/FOMO – few will hold & have value, most won’t.”

He also clarified the sensitive element of hard work of people working in creating digital artwork, stating:  “Want to add a clarification. I’m not saying that digital artwork takes no effort and time to create. Some digital art is amazing, and the artists are extremely talented and put a ton of effort and time into them. But the NFT is not the artwork. Creating the NFT is cheap.”

David Schwartz expressed:  Yes.  We are bringing Litecoin to the gaming world.

For those who are not sure of: What cryptocurrency has to do with the gaming space? Almost every game player wants to exchange their virtual gaming assets for currency or money, which they can use to buy things on a real platform.  They also like to have a digital currency, which they can sell on other platforms and make money when the value of the cryptocurrency goes up during market volatility.

In most online games, the monetization idea is in the form of in-app purchases, in-app advertising, referral marketing, affiliate marketing.

By using In-app purchases, the online players buy something directly from the game like game coins, extra lives, and custom characters to play the game and enjoy more. However, in online cryptocurrency games, players buy items using cryptocurrencies like bitcoin or other Altcoins like Litecoin, and sometimes they even buy the altcoin itself.

In-app advertising in online games works using rewards.  In this process, the players complete a particular task, watch video ads, fill surveys and ultimately earn cryptocurrencies.

Affiliate marketing is where players click affiliate links and banners to refer a friend, earn rewards and sign up for a free offer.

The new trend is like online bitcoin casinos or online cryptocurrency casinos where the gaming company has adopted cryptocurrency as a payment and reward option.  Litecoin chooses to spare NFTs, and they are trying to tap the gaming market to sustain their value.
