Privacy is becoming an important concern and people are turning to VPNs to protect themselves.  VPNs are doing a lot to prevent online tracking and to keep private data safe.

Online privacy is getting debated a lot.  The pandemic did push a lot of office-goers work online and this means people are putting their privacy to risk.  Zoom is a very well-known example.  Several downloads of Zoom has happened.  A lot of discussion has happened about how it has been difficult to protect people’s privacy.  The actual problem is deeper than most of us have realized.  The core problem is that online servers are collecting lot of information than we can think of.

Some are even collecting browser fingerprints, which will be able to identify an individual using the Web History.  The Web History is a unique physical thumb print. People are now looking for new ways to protect their privacy when they set out to use the internet.

Many of them look at VPNs as a method to preserve their privacy.  The VPNs route their traffic through their own servers, thus making it difficult for third parties to see what users might do online.  The world is transiting to remote work and we are left wondering to see if users can still be tracked when using a privacy solution.

The news is that even with a VPN it is possible to get tracked.  However, it is important to know that “logged” is the term for tracking of VPN users, but it is not the same thing as being monitored by ordinary ISPs, apps or websites.

Orchid (OXT) Restore the Internet for Free Exploration

There are several web browsers which do default logging. However, when using a VPN the user data is visible to the privacy provider, but the details is not known to the entire Internet the way it happens when someone browses unprotected. However, the reality is that the online activity of the person is still visible somewhere.

The reason why Orchid was built is privacy.  They focus on making the internet, the place where it will be possible for the users to restore the internet as a place where people will be able to explore freely.

Orchid can aggregate the capabilities of the bandwidth providers using an innovative two-sided marketplace which has been built on the Ethereum blockchain. Thus Orchid provides a number of innovations which are created to improve privacy, including probabilistic nanopayments and multi-hop configurability.  Also, Orchid permits people to access the services of top VPNs, which includes Liquid VPN, PIA, Tenta, Boleh, and VPN Secure, thus combining all of these services with Orchid’s unique technology to improve anonymity while maintaining a robust marketplace, which always has ample supply.
