Five years after the vision of a heterogeneous multichain framework was first outlined in the Polkadot Whitepaper, parachains are now ready to launch on Polkadot. Motion 118, to schedule the first auctions, has passed council and now gone to public referendum.
In simple terms, Parachain is becoming a reality soon.
Community response: Good. This upgrade adds parachain pallet to Polkadot, which means Statemint parachain will start running in couple of days. If there are no issues, auctions probably start in late November or early December.

$200 DOT by EOY for sure. There is nothing else in the space that compares to what is happening on DOT. It would not surprise me if it even flipped Ethereum.
The $200 is completely unrealistic. It had a small pump and will probably retrace as the news gets old.
Really, I think it is quite low. Look at Solana; and DOT eats that for dinner. In Crypto anything is possible. Look at DODGE market cap.
Depends on market conditions, but 200$ doable. Why unrealistic? Look at Solana. Anything can happen. Amazing how the charts started to move a few hours before this announcement. Suddenly DOT has become my 2nd biggest holding after ETH. I am excited and scared at the same time.
You are obviously missing something. Polkadot is Layer 0 chain, not an app on other blockchain.
Polkadot.js is far from perfect but it is still massive UX improvement compared to what the field was in the early days.
Well, it is an early software framework that you are investing in fundamentally. So you have to expect some effort. That said, I don’t have a degree in computer science and me and my multiple friends that don’t have it either could send it just fine.
It is important to understand that my grandmother uses the internet every day through her iPad but has no concept of what TCP/IP is and would not be able to do what I had to do in the 1990s to use the internet with Trumpet WinSock and shit.
You are benefiting in your investing here because it is early on, that is what investing is. Getting in early and helping building things. Once things are easy, there is no longer an investment opportunity. Life is a struggle and so is investing.
