David Vorick musings about technical facets:  When I turned iCloud off, a bunch of my apps deleted their data. The most frustrating one was my Notes app; now, a whole bunch of ideas I jotted down for later is lost to the void forever. Why wasn’t that using local storage?

Community members:  That is why we still have paper. So when does the Skynet Notes dApp happen that goes with you across browsers? You’re busy, so someone else should do it. Fine, I will look into it. Store the files in decentralized cloud storage. When Sia Skynet app?

David Vorick on Decentralized private messenger: Though Signal (Signal app) is widely regarded as secure, they always have the ability to unplug. I’m also guessing they have the ability to learn what your social network is through analysis. Society’s true private messenger needs to be fully decentralized.

Community:  Signal is an encrypted messaging app and, for many, is a secure way to communicate with friends and family because of its end-to-end encryption. Due to privacy concerns, several people switched to Signal even when WhatsApp reiterated that all the chats are encrypted and cannot be accessed by it or Facebook.

When Skynet messenger?

David Vorick:  The fastest way to get more open-source hardware is to improve the prototyping tools. Imagine working on the Linux kernel, but compilation costs $35,000 and 8 weeks instead of 20 minutes of CPU time. Linux also would have never taken off.

Opinion:  It just looks like the SiaCoin community wants a brand product for every technology product or app and all decentralized with absolute privacy speed and more. Ambitions are set high. We keep watching the ecosystem looking for really interesting and not to miss developments.

The community are like:  Do not worry about marketing Siacoin or Skynet. We, the user of your creation, will act as marketers. The product you and your team made is quite big, and you guys can focus on improvements and innovation. Let we, the users, do the rest of the work for Sia to be mass adopted.
