David Vorick expressed:  Sharing files over the web has always been a pain especially once you get over 1 GB. Skynet uploaders are now stable up to 100 GB files, directly from the web browser. Here’s a 6 GB movie as an example, uploaded using siasky.net.

Further David covered other concerns:  “Free Speech:  When someone blocks you on Twitter, people who don’t want to hear from you will no longer hear from you. When Twitter bans you, even people who want to hear from you are no longer able to hear from you. It’s a free speech problem if Twitter was your only reasonable option.

Government Support:  Is the government on our side? It’s revealing that the cyber security division of the US prefers to stockpile exploits that impact its citizens rather than disclose and repair. A government that wanted to see its people live their best lives would not act this way.

Technology Focus: The biggest difference between the Bitcoin community and the Ethereum community is their focus. For Ethereum, the central question is, what can we do with this amazing technology? For Bitcoin, the central question is how could someone else take this technology away from me?

But actually. Software has this enormous dependency creep because there is no social standard for analyzing how toxic a project’s dependency set is.  If we put some sort of score in place there will be natural social pressure to not add frivolous dependencies.

We need better tooling for analyzing dependency risk. Imagine a score like: Your project an attack surface area of 500,000 square kilometers.  The recommended attack surface area for a standard Webapp is 100 square meters. For a smart contract it’s 15 square cm.

Dumb Piece of Code:  Sometimes you wake up and one of your engineers has found a dumb piece of code that has been slowing down your download performance for multiple years. It’s fixed now. ETA for prod deployment is Wednesday next week.

Community response:  These tweets showcasing developments and thoughtful muses really helps with people like myself to better relate and understand the significance of this project.
