Tezos have announced a new community rewards program for the Tezos contributors. The total reward pool is set to being at roughly 5,000 XTZ per month and it will be split among winners in a number of categories according to the nominations.
About two weeks ago, Tezos Foundation, TQ Tezos, and Tezos Commons have declared that they might be rolling out a new community rewards program. The funding from the Tezos Foundation is set to provide rewards to the community members who go above and beyond to provide to the entire ecosystem.
There are several categories across which rewards can be split like: “Indie Dev of the Month; Memenator or best or most popular NEW Tezos meme; Troll Hunter and/or FUD Fighter for defending the social media ecosystem from the enemies at the gate; Good Samaritan for helping community members and noobs to the ecosystem; Curiosity Award for asking the most or best questions on Agora; Genius Award for answering the most or giving the best answer on Agora; and OG Award for long-time Community members who have stuck with the projects through all the ups and downs and have remained active and contributing members of the community.”
Also, they have the “TACO Award for best article, tutorial, white paper or other educational materials; Social Maven Helpers & Sherpas for people who freely help others with tech support; Governance Gurkas for vote whips; Stack Exchange Rangers;Agora Anglers for casting ideas; Flock & Feathers for holding the canopy on Twitter; Give a Go for anyone giving an idea a start by showing some initial action and humble result; Humble Coder Abode for unsolicited contribution on any related Git.”
Sydney Ifergan, the crypto expert tweeted: “I see Tezos (XTZ) are committed to building a strong community than it already is.”
Some of the community members were curious on whether they can expect a platform where guys can upload tasks? Where they can submit their work? Also with a kind of ranking? They also stated that the avalanche community hub was very effective, and felt it might be worth to build up something similar.
Of note, in the first rounds of rewards, the TQ Tezos and TCF teams will be working together to identify the recipients to provide then with rewards through a multisig.
Tezos are continuing to work to ensure long-term improvements to their system and they are willing to encourage extraordinary contributions.
